Help With Benefits
If you’re looking for help with benefits in Clacton-on-Sea or the wider Tendring area, the Tendring Time Bank Centre is here to support you. We offer free, friendly advice on benefits, including Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Blue Badge applications, and more. Whether you’re making your first claim, need help understanding a decision, or want assistance with an appeal, our volunteers are here to help.

We understand that navigating the UK benefits system can be confusing and overwhelming. That’s why we provide one-to-one support in a relaxed, non-judgemental environment. Our team can help you fill in forms, gather evidence, and understand your rights. We also offer guidance on housing benefit, employment support, and job seeker advice.
You don’t need to be an expert—we’ll walk you through every step. And because we’re part of the Time Bank community, you can also earn Time Credits by helping others in return, whether through sharing your skills, helping at events, or simply lending a hand at the Centre.

Our service is open to everyone, including people living with mental health conditions, autism, learning difficulties, or brain injuries. We work closely with organisations like Mind to ensure our space is welcoming and inclusive.
In addition to benefit support, we can also help with CV writing, job applications, form-filling, and digital support. Free WiFi is available on-site to help you access online benefit applications, government services, and emails.
Located at 30a St. Osyth Road, Clacton-on-Sea, we’re easy to reach and always happy to help. Drop in, have a chat, and find out how we can support you with benefit advice in Tendring. No question is too small.
