Tendring Local Network
The Tendring local network is a vibrant and growing community of people, organisations, and groups working together to support each other. At Tendring Time Bank, we play a key role in strengthening these local connections through inclusive activities, time exchanges, and shared skills.

Our base in Clacton-on-Sea acts as a hub for this network. Here, individuals from across the district come together to offer help, build friendships, and grow their confidence. Whether you want to share your talents or receive support, there’s always a way to get involved.
Through Time Banking, members of the Tendring local network exchange time instead of money. One hour of your time earns one Time Credit, which you can spend on services others offer. This could include help with form filling, household tasks, computer support, or just friendly company. Everyone’s time is valued equally.
The network thrives on collaboration. We work closely with charities, schools, mental health services, and community groups to expand our reach. By building partnerships across Tendring, we make it easier for people to access the help they need and contribute in meaningful ways.

In addition, we run a wide range of events and activities. From arts and crafts sessions to family research groups, job application help, and drop-in socials, there’s something for everyone. These gatherings help reduce isolation, boost wellbeing, and bring people from different walks of life together.
Importantly, the Tendring local network is inclusive. We welcome those with autism, brain injuries, social anxiety, and other conditions. Our environment is safe, respectful, and encouraging. No matter your background, your contribution matters here.
Volunteers are also central to our mission. Whether helping at events, supporting admin, or maintaining our welcoming space, every helping hand strengthens the network further. In return, volunteers gain confidence, experience, and a sense of purpose.
